October 4 — PITTSTON – Following a renovation that began in June, ALDI’s Pittston store, located at 5000 North Township Blvd, will reopen on Wednesday October 6th.
The renovated store is part of the retailer’s ongoing initiative to remodel and expand existing ALDI stores nationwide. In addition to the grand reopening, the store will offer curbside pickup.
On September 22, Pittston Aldi’s hosted a smooth opening and the grand reopening will take place on Wednesday. The Pittston store will be open every day from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The updated store offers improved layout and ample refrigeration to accommodate an expanded selection of fresh and convenient foods. It also has open ceilings and natural lighting, and it is built with environmentally friendly materials.
“Like all ALDI stores, the renovated Pittston location still offers a streamlined shopping experience and low prices in every aisle, but customers will notice the raised design,” said a news release.
“We have invested in redesigning our stores to ensure that the design and experience match the high quality of our products,” said Bob Grammer, Center Valley regional vice president for ALDI. “With the Pittston Store Update, shoppers will notice a new look with fresher, more practical items at low, reliable prices that ALDI fans rave about.”
Grammer said ALDI stores are designed to be simple and efficient. He said a typical store is about 12,000 square feet of retail space, which makes ALDI stores much easier to navigate than traditional grocery stores.
In addition, the retailer remains focused on supplying stores with essential food and household products that customers need, including healthy and convenient options and a robust selection of fresh produce delivered daily to stores.
Known as a pioneer of private labels, ALDI’s business model is intentionally designed to provide customers with high quality products at unbeatable prices, every day. Now more than ever, Grammer said access to affordable groceries is important and ALDI’s commitment to low prices is unwavering.
Regarding value, Grammer said ALDI won’t be beaten on price, and over the past 10 years, ALDI has held the esteemed title of value leader among US grocery stores, according to the Market study. Force Information® US Grocery Competitive Study. The retailer constantly keeps prices low by working with the best partners to organize a selection of over 90% exclusive brands, and ALDI guarantees that its products are as good as or better than the national brands. In fact, 1 in 3 ALDI exclusive products are awarded.
To provide customers with choice and convenience in the way they shop, ALDI continues to expand its presence in e-commerce. This year, ALDI plans to further expand the curbside grocery pickup service to an additional 500 stores, bringing the total number of curbside locations to over 1,200.
