On the front I start to work on the tires and a little detail, not really necessary this early but if you suck at wheels always keep some reference around. I used some white prisma to bring out the tread lines

Ill flip back over and start with the color now. I just blocked it in with a Violet Prismacolor Marker. Drawing this one for a girl... :P

Back to the front again and this time I only do the darkest horizon line. To start adding a little flare to the render I added some yellow prismacolor to the groind and reflected it up into the side. If you notice on the door I put some little tree reflection on the horizon, not that you need it but thats where I want my spotlight to hit, so you want to make sure the reflection at the horizon is darkest at that spot, so I went to the back again and added some straight black to make it darker.

Finally chalk!! I start on the backside cuz this is where I usually screw it up. I used orange on the side for warm, leaving my hot spot white and blue on the hood and roof for the cool side.

Now fill the core in with the same color Violet as the marker. It generally what I want so Ill know to be more accurate on the front.
