TIM SCHOON

Tim was the other winner of the editors choice. Here is a quote from one of the judges.

My vote goes to Tim Schoon (Schoondesign) for pushing both aesthetics and function. The top view is what caught my eye 1st. It beautifully rendered and incorporates form Id love to see in future race cars. The silver bar ties the whole design together. Although the schematics are a little hard to understand (some readable callouts on the actual sketch would help) Its great to see that function was actually thought out.

Congrats to Tim and to everyone whow entered this great contest.

SJiaDesign

We had two winners of the editors choice and SJia's design was one of the picks. Here is a quote from one of the judges.

As for an editors choice I really like SJiaDesign's work. The first concept of the intergrated rear wing and suspension is great. I think his second entry may not have the concept of the first, but the top view is beautiful.

Congrats to SJiaDesign for winning the editors choice.

Thanks to all who voted and I am honored to accept this award since the contest is stacked with so many deserving entries. As the Admin of the site I do not feel comfortable winning these contests but I feel you really did want me to win.

As for the desing I focused on the old roadsters from the 60's and tried to bring them into the modern day. My goal was to creat an open wheel race car that would look differant then all the other series out there and I feel it works.

Thanks to all who took the time to enter.
