First I start out with a wheelbase and engine that has been set specific to the model of bike.
Next I lighten the tires and begin to sketch gesture lines.
Build up lines and form.
Begin to darken and outline shapes.
Finish line work.
Add shading.
Add highlights.
A quick sport bike sketch, but the important thing is I have created a flowing design with gesture lines that flow through the bike.

How much is size of papre? and what kind?
How did you shades and light? ( What kind of media )?

This sketch took about 20 minutes. Digital sketch, Wacom tablet using Sketchbook Pro. 8.5" x 11" at 300dpi. Tires and engine are created ahead of time and then used for lots of different sketches. On new layers I sketch with the pencil tool, airbrush shading (on one layer) and hightlights (on another layer) underneth pencil layer.
